Emergency service · Riverside County
Off the track, hanging at an angle, or a spring that let go with a bang. We clear these every week across Riverside, Corona and Moreno Valley.
When we can actually get there
Plenty of garage door websites promise round-the-clock service. Most of them route you to a call center at 2am, take your details, and send someone at nine the next morning anyway.
Here is the real position. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Same-day service across Western Riverside County when you reach us inside those hours. Closed Sunday.
If it fails outside those hours, leave it alone, keep everyone clear, and call at 8am. You will be first in line and nobody will have made the damage worse overnight.

Triage
Emergency calls cost more than scheduled ones. We would rather tell you your problem can wait until Thursday than charge you for urgency you did not need.
The visit
Call and describe what you can see. If it is something you can safely leave until morning, we will tell you that too.
Questions
What to do, what not to touch, and how quickly we can realistically be there. Read the first two before you do anything else.
Beau has been doing this over thirty years. Call and ask — there is no charge for a question.
(951) 232-9778Mon–Sat · 8am–6pmNo. The springs carry the weight of the door, not the opener. With a broken spring the opener is trying to lift 150 to 250 lb on a motor rated for about 30. Running it strips the drive gear and often pulls the door off its track.
If you have already heard the bang, the cheapest thing you can do is stop. A spring job left alone stays a spring job. A spring job that keeps being operated becomes a spring, cable, track and panel job.
We would strongly advise against it. A wound torsion spring stores enough energy to break bones, and winding bars slip. It is one of the few household repairs that regularly sends people to hospital.
If you are determined to try, at minimum use proper winding bars rather than screwdrivers, and never stand directly beneath the bar.
Most people describe it as a gunshot or a loud bang from the garage, often heard from inside the house. It is the sound of the stored energy releasing all at once. If you heard that and the door will not lift, you almost certainly have a broken spring.
The break itself is over in an instant and rarely hurts anyone. The danger comes afterwards, from a heavy door with nothing holding it up. Do not pull the emergency release while the door is open, and keep children and pets out of the garage.
Stop using it and keep everyone clear. A door off its track is held by very little and can fall. Do not try to lever it back on, and do not run the opener to see if it corrects itself, because that is how a repair becomes a replacement.
Call us and describe what you can see. Sometimes we can talk you through a safe manual release over the phone. Sometimes the honest answer is that the door has to wait until a tech is there, and forcing it risks both the car and you.
Two tests, both take a minute. Lay a 2x4 flat on the floor in the door's path and close the door onto it; it should reverse on contact and go back to fully open. Use a 2x4 rather than a roll of paper towel — a roll may not compress far enough to test the system properly. Then wave a broom through the sensor beam mid-close; it should reverse again. If either fails, stop using the door.
It disconnects the door from the opener so you can move it by hand. It is meant for power outages. Never pull it while the door is open, because with a failed spring the door will come down under its own weight.
No. We work Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and we are closed on Sunday. We would rather tell you that plainly than advertise 24 hours and miss the window.
Often, yes, if you reach us inside working hours and you are in our core Western Riverside area. Desert work is normally booked rather than same-day, because it is 60 to 90 minutes each way and we would rather give you a firm window.
Where we do this work
Every location page carries the ZIP codes, the drive from our Riverside shop, and what actually breaks doors on those streets — because a garage door in Blythe does not live the same life as one in Eastvale.
