What we collect, and what we do not.

What this covers

This page describes what Riverside Classic Garage Doors does with personal information collected through this website. It does not cover anything you tell a technician in person or over the phone beyond what we write down to do the job.

What we collect

When you book an appointment or ask us to call you back, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the city and service address, what is wrong with the door, and any note you add. Every field except your name and phone number is optional.

When you simply read the site, our host records the standard server request information — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. That is how any web server works and we do not link it to you.

We never ask for a password, a social security number, or payment card details through this website. There are no accounts to create. If a page ever asks you for a card number, it is not us.

Why we have it, and who else sees it

We use it to call you back, schedule the visit, turn up at the right address, and keep a record of the work. Form submissions are sent to our customer management system, which is operated for us by a third-party provider under contract and used only to run our business. Our website host processes the traffic that reaches the site.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not sold or shared it in the last twelve months. We do not trade your number to lead brokers, other contractors, or marketing lists. We disclose information otherwise only where the law requires it.

Text messages

If you check the box on the booking form, we will text you about your appointment — the confirmation, when the technician is on the way, and the quote for the work. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. You can also just tell us on the phone and we will take you off.

Ticking the box is optional and is not a condition of booking. If you leave it unticked we book you in exactly the same way and call you instead. We only text the number you gave us on the form, and only about the job.

We keep a record of when you opted in, which page you were on, and the wording you agreed to, so we can show it if you or anyone else ever asks.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, excluding aggregators and providers of the text messaging service itself.

Measurement and advertising tools

This site is built to support Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion measurement, and the Meta pixel. Each one loads only if it has been configured; when one is active it may set cookies or similar identifiers and report to that provider that a page was viewed, a call button was tapped, or a form was submitted. Those providers handle that data under their own policies. You can block them with your browser settings or an ad blocker, and the site will still work — the phone number is a plain link and the forms do not depend on them.

How long we keep it

We keep job and customer records for as long as we may need them to honor a warranty, answer a question about work we did, or meet California tax and contracting record-keeping requirements. Inquiries that never became a job are cleared out once they are plainly stale.

Your rights in California

If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, the right to a copy of it, the right to have it deleted, the right to have inaccurate information corrected, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of — but you may ask us to confirm that.

To make a request, call us or write to the address below and tell us what you want. We will verify you are the person the information is about — usually by matching the phone number or service address on the job — and respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent; we will still verify the request with you.

Children

This is a garage door repair company. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
