Replacing an operator on a door that is equally worn is money spent twice. It is worth pricing both together, and we will tell you honestly when the door has years left in it.
Gyms, workshops and home offices change what the door has to do. An uninsulated single-layer door on a west elevation makes that space unusable in August, and no amount of servicing changes it.

None of the five things below can be assessed over the phone, and all five change the door you end up with. That is the whole argument for measuring before quoting.

In plain terms — if your opener predates the rule and has no backup battery, the opener is part of this job whether you planned it or not. We check it at the measure and tell you then, not on fitting day.

A verbal lump sum with no part numbers is not a quote, it is an opening position — and it is the single most useful thing to check across the three quotes you get.

We do not publish a figure and we will not quote one over the phone, and the reason is not evasiveness.
